Hoop two layers of tear-away stabilizer.

STEP 02

Load the Side Panel design into the embroidery machine.
Stitch the color represented in PURPLE, which will create the placement line.

STEP 03

Place the R1 polyester batting measuring 17 × 9 cm (6.69 × 3.54 in) over the placement line.
Position the gray quilting cotton fabric measuring 17 × 9 cm (6.69 × 3.54 in) (Side Panel) over the batting.

STEP 04

Return the hoop to the embroidery machine.
Stitch the color represented in BLACK, which will secure the materials in place (tack-down stitch).

STEP 05

Continue with the embroidery machine and stitch the next color represented in BURGUNDY, which will embroider the decorative border details.

STEP 06

Once the border details have been stitched, remove the hoop from the embroidery machine.
On the back of the hoop, place the second piece of gray quilting cotton fabric measuring 17 × 9 cm (6.69 × 3.54 in).
Secure it with masking tape.

STEP 07

Return the hoop to the embroidery machine.
Stitch the next color represented in BLACK, which will secure the back fabric in place and stitch the next placement lines.

STEP 08

Remove the hoop from the embroidery machine.
Using fine-point scissors, carefully trim away the fabric and the R1 polyester batting from the inside of the placement lines, as shown in the photo below.
Be careful not to cut the tear-away stabilizer.
On the back of the hoop, trim only the fabric along the same placement lines, again taking care not to cut the tear-away stabilizer.

HOOP ASSEMBLY LAYOUT

STEP 06

Return the hoop to the embroidery machine.
Stitch the next color represented in BLACK, which will secure all the materials in place (tack-down stitch).
Reduce the embroidery machine speed slightly during this step, as several layers of material are being stitched together.
This will help prevent the materials from catching on the presser foot and shifting during embroidery.

STEP 07

Once the materials have been secured, remove only the masking tape from the corners.

STEP 08

Place the R1 polyester batting measuring 9 × 9 cm (3.54 × 3.54 in) over the placement line.
Position the gray quilting cotton fabric measuring 9 × 9 cm (3.54 × 3.54 in) on the front of the hoop.
On the back of the hoop, place the second piece of gray quilting cotton fabric measuring 9 × 9 cm (3.54 × 3.54 in).
Secure all layers with masking tape.

STEP 09

Return the hoop to the embroidery machine.
Stitch the next color represented in PINK, which will secure both the front and back materials in place (tack-down stitch).

STEP 10

Once the materials have been secured, remove the hoop from the embroidery machine.
Trim away the excess fabric from both the front and back of the project.
Do not remove the masking tape from the front of the project.

STEP 11

Replace both the upper thread and the bobbin thread with the thread color selected for the satin stitch finishing.

STEP 12

Return the hoop to the embroidery machine.
Stitch the next color represented in GRAY, which will create the satin stitch finishing.
Once the finishing stitches are complete, remove the hoop from the embroidery machine.
Remove the masking tape and take the project out of the hoop.

STEP 02

Make a small hole in the hanging loop and thread the satin ribbon or a decorative cord through it.
Tie a knot and pass both ends through the larger hanging loop.
Place the LED flameless candle inside the lantern...
