STAGE 04 – MOBILE ASSEMBLY AND HALF PEARL APPLICATION
STEP 01
Mark the locations where the #1 half pearls will be attached to the butterflies, stars, clouds, and crescent moons.
STEP 02
Apply a small drop of fabric glue to each marked location.
STEP 03
Attach the #1 half pearls to all the pieces.

STEP 05
Divide the hoop into four equal sections and mark each point with a fabric marking pen.
STEP 06
Thread the hand sewing needle with a 30 cm (11.81 in) piece of 0.35 mm (0.014 in) clear nylon thread.
STEP 07
Pass the hand sewing needle through the tip of the crescent moon, between the felt layers.
Secure it with two knots, leaving a longer tail of nylon thread in addition to the thread attached to the needle.
STEP 08
Thread one #1 pearl onto the nylon thread attached to the needle and another #1 pearl onto the longer thread tail.
Apply a small drop of fabric glue.
Trim the excess of the shorter thread as close to the pearl as possible.
STEP 09
Measure approximately 7 cm (2.76 in) from the crescent moon.
Tie a knot in the nylon thread.
Thread one #1 pearl, one #4 pearl, and one #1 pearl onto the nylon thread.
STEP 10
Apply a small drop of fabric glue to the knot.
Slide the first pearl over the knot, as shown in the photo, hiding the knot inside the pearl for a clean, professional finish.
STEP 11

Secure the nylon thread to the bottom of the butterfly with three knots.
Trim the excess thread.
The finished piece should look like the photo.
STEP 12
Thread the hand sewing needle with a 20 cm (7.87 in) piece of 0.35 mm (0.014 in) clear nylon thread.
Decorate the top of the butterfly with pearls, following the same instructions as Steps 08 and 09.
Then secure the thread to a cloud, as shown in Photos 1, 2, and 3.
Thread the needle again with a 36–40 cm (14.17–15.75 in) piece of 0.35 mm (0.014 in) clear nylon thread.
Secure the thread to the top of the cloud, adding one #1 pearl, as shown in Photo 4.
Finish by tying the thread securely to one of the marks previously made on the bamboo embroidery hoop, as shown in Photo 5.
Leave the remaining thread attached, as it will be used later to tie all five hanging strands together onto the small wooden ring.
Repeat this process with the remaining pieces, alternating the arrangement as desired to create four outer hanging strands and one center hanging strand.
One Hanging Strand Completed
STEP 13
Thread all five nylon thread ends through one #12 pearl.
Tie all five threads together with a secure knot.
Apply a small drop of fabric glue and slide the pearl over the knot, hiding it inside the pearl for a clean, professional finish.
Tie the threads securely to the small wooden ring with several knots.
Trim the excess thread and carefully melt the thread ends to prevent fraying.
