      FABRIC MEASUREMENTS FOR THE APPLIQUÉ

      ITEM 5 – NAVY BLUE TRICOLINE
      * 1 piece – 14 × 10 cm (5.5 × 4.0 in) – First Appliqué
      * 2 pieces – 7 × 6 cm (2.75 × 2.4 in) – Fourth Appliqué
      * 1 piece – 13 × 7 cm (5.1 × 2.75 in) – Sixth Appliqué

      ITEM 6 – WHITE TRICOLINE
      * 1 piece – 10 × 7 cm (4.0 × 2.75 in) – Third Appliqué
      * 1 piece – 12 × 4 cm (4.75 × 1.6 in) – Fifth Appliqué

      ITEM 7 – RED TRICOLINE
      * 2 pieces – 6 × 6 cm (2.4 × 2.4 in) – Second Appliqué

      EXECUTION - STAGE 01

      STEP 01

      Prepare the hoop with two layers of tear-away stabilizer.

      Load the embroidery design into the machine.

      STEP 02

      Take the hoop to the embroidery machine and stitch the placement outline.

      Note: The markings indicated by the arrows show the positions where the T-shirt will be secured to the hoop.

      STEP 03

      Place the hoop on top of the corrugated plastic sheet.

      STEP 04

      Mark a point on the T-shirt 7 cm (2.75 inches) from the side seam.

      STEP 05

      Position the T-shirt over the placement markings on the hoop, aligning it with the 7 cm (2.75 inch) mark you made on the T-shirt.

      STEP 06

      Secure the T-shirt with pins, attaching it to the support board at the positions indicated in Step 02.

      This is how it should look.

      STEP 07

      Apply masking tape along the bottom edge of the T-shirt.

      Then place pins as close as possible to the hoop frame all the way around to secure the T-shirt in place.

      STEP 08

      Remove the four pins that were used to secure the support board in Step 06.

      STAGE 02 – APPLIQUÉ ASSEMBLY

      STEP 01

      Take the hoop to the embroidery machine and stitch the placement outline for the first navy blue appliqué piece.

      STEP 02

      Remove the masking tape from the center area.

      STEP 03

      Place the 14 × 10 cm (5.5 × 4 in) piece of navy blue tricoline fabric over the placement outline and secure it with masking tape.

      STEP 04

      Trim away the excess fabric around the appliqué outline.

      STEP 05

      Return the hoop to the embroidery machine and stitch the placement outline for the second appliqué piece.

      STEP 06

      Place the two 6 × 6 cm (2.4 × 2.4 in) pieces of red tricoline fabric, one over each placement outline, and secure them with masking tape.

      Return the hoop to the embroidery machine and stitch the tack-down stitches to secure the appliqué pieces.

      STEP 07

      Trim away the excess fabric around both appliqué pieces.

      STEP 08

      Return the hoop to the embroidery machine and stitch the placement outline for the third appliqué piece.

      Place the 10 × 7 cm (4 × 2.75 in) piece of white tricoline fabric over the placement outline and secure it with masking tape.

      Return the hoop to the embroidery machine and stitch the tack-down stitches to secure the appliqué.

      Trim away the excess fabric around the appliqué piece.

      STEP 09

      Repeat the same process described in Step 08 for the next four appliqué pieces, following the sequence shown in the reference images.

      STEP 10

      After completing the seventh appliqué, carefully cut along the marked outline on the inside of the T-shirt.

      STEP 11

      Replace the bobbin thread with the finishing color.

      STEP 12

      Return the hoop to the embroidery machine and stitch the final satin stitch to finish the bow.

      STEP 13

      Replace the bobbin thread with white thread.

      STEP 14

      Return the hoop to the embroidery machine and stitch the stars.

      STEP 15

      Remove the hoop from the embroidery machine and carefully cut the initial placement stitches on both the front and back of the hoop
