- Prepare the hoop with the stabilizer.

- Load the Christmas Drop design into the machine and stitch the first color, represented in BLACK. This will be the placement line.

- Place the snow batting 4,33" x 3,14" and the green felt 4,33" x 3,14" over the placement line and secure the edges with masking tape.

- Take the hoop back to the machine and stitch the second color, represented in RED, which will secure the material.

Continue with the hoop in the machine and run the third color shown in BEIGE to embroider the design details. Then run the fourth color shown in BLACK, which will be the marking for the upper part of the design

- Remove the hoop from the machine and trim the excess felt and batting.

- Place the brown felt 1,96" X 1,57" over the marking and secure the edges with masking tape.

- Return the hoop to the machine and stitch the fifth color, represented in RED, which will secure the brown felt.

- Remove the hoop from the machine and trim the excess brown felt.

- On the back of the hoop, center the 4,72" satin ribbon, crossing the two ends to form a loop. Secure it with masking tape as shown in the picture below.

- Also tape the upper part of the ribbon to secure it.

- Return the hoop to the machine and stitch the sixth color, represented in ORANGE, which will secure the satin ribbon.

- After securing it, remove the hoop from the machine.

- On the back of the hoop, place the green felt 4,33" x 3,14" and secure the edges with masking tape.

- Take the hoop to the machine and stitch the seventh color, represented in RED, which will secure the green felt.

- After stitching, remove the hoop from the machine and trim the excess felt.

- Be careful not to cut the satin ribbon. Do not remove the masking tape holding the ribbon.

- Change both the bobbin thread and the top thread to the same color that will be used for the edge finishing on the green felt in the next step.

- Return the hoop to the machine and stitch the eighth color, represented in GREEN, which will finish the border of the green felt.

- Change both the bobbin thread and the top thread again to the same color used for the top finishing. Here it is BROWN.

- Return the hoop to the machine and stitch the ninth color, represented in BROWN, which will finish the top part.

Remove from the machine, take it out of the hoop, tear away the stabilizer and clean the embroidery.

Repeat steps 01/02/03/04 from the first STAGE of the green raindrops.
Follow the same step sequence as shown in the photos beside

Continue with the hoop in the machine and embroider the third color of the design shown in BLACK, which will be the appliqué placement marking.

Here are the two appliqué design markings included in this project

Remove from the machine and place the 3.1 x 2.4 in red or green felt over the marking. Secure with masking tape along the edges

Take it to the machine and run the fourth color shown in RED, which will secure the red or green felt. After the tack-down stitch, trim the excess appliqué fabric

Return to the machine and run the fifth color shown in BEIGE, which will embroider the raindrop details

After embroidering the details in BEIGE, continue with the hoop in the machine. Change the top thread to GREEN and run the sixth color of the design, which will be the appliqué finishing stitch for both designs

GREEN RAINDROP

For the second finishing stitch of the design shown in the photo beside, continue with the hoop in the machine, change the top thread to RED and run the seventh color of the design, which will be only the center finishing stitch of the red felt.

With the hoop still in the machine, run the eighth color shown in BLACK, which will be the marking for the upper part of the design

With the hoop still in the machine, run the seventh color shown in BLACK, which will be the marking for the upper part of the design

Repeat the same steps 06 through 13 from the FIRST PART OF THE GREEN RAINDROPS

Change the bobbin thread and the top thread to the same color for the finishing stitch

Return to the machine and run the twelfth color shown in RED, which will be the border finishing stitch.

On the other appliqué design, run the eleventh color for the border finishing stitch

Change the bobbin thread and the top thread to the same color as the brown felt finishing stitch

Return to the machine and run the thirteenth color shown in BROWN, which will be the finishing stitch for the upper part

Remove from the machine, take it out of the hoop and tear away the stabilizer.

Clean the embroidery and, if you prefer, use a marker matching the finishing thread color for a more harmonious final look
