BETWEEN

MATERIALS USED

1 - 5,11"x7,08" embroidery hoop

2 - 4 sheets of tear-away stabilizer

3 - Tea towel measuring 19,68" x 29,52" (will end up 18,50" wide after finishing)

4 - Masking tape

5 - Small sharp scissors

6 - Bobbin with thread matching the finishing color

7 - Embroidery thread

8 - Thin pins

9 - Ruler

10 - Heat-erasable pen

STEP-BY-STEP

STEP 01

Use the heat-erasable pen to mark measurements on the tea towel starting from the hem, as shown in the reference image.

STEP 02

Prepare the hoop with one layer of tear-away stabilizer.

Load PART 1 of the embroidery design into the machine.

STEP 03

Run the first alignment stitch in the center of the hoop. There's no need to position the design manually, as it will always be centered.

STEP 04

Position the fabric on the left side, aligned with the vertical and horizontal stitching lines.

Make sure the fabric is flat and even, and secure it with masking tape.

STEP 05

Place pins all around the edge, as close to the hoop ring as possible, ensuring they don’t interfere with the machine’s presser foot.

Before running the machine, double-check that everything is aligned correctly.

STEP 06

Run the alignment stitching on the machine.

STEP 07

Remove from the machine, but do not remove the pins or tape.

Cut the fabric following the stitching lines (marked in black on the design reference image).

STEP 08

Replace the bobbin with thread that matches the embroidery color so that the back side looks neat and harmonious.

STEP 09

Run the embroidery.

STEP 10

Remove from the machine.

Remove the pins, masking tape, and hoop, but do not tear away the stabilizer yet.

STEP 11

On the right side of the stabilizer, trim the excess, leaving about 0,78" of border.

Set this piece aside to use in Stage 2.

STEP-BY-STEP - STAGE 02

STEP 01

Load PART 2 of the embroidery design into the machine and install a bobbin with white thread.

STEP 02

Prepare the hoop with one layer of tear-away stabilizer.

STEP 03

Run the alignment stitching.

STEP 04

Place the fabric over the hoop and fold it to the left, overlaying the previously embroidered part.

Align the previous markings (black arrows) with the hoop markings.

Pin each end of the vertical stitching at the dot to hold the fabric in place.

STEP 04 (CONTINUED)

Previously made marking.

STEP 05

Take the previously used stabilizer with 0,78" of excess and place it straight along the vertical axis.

Tape it at the top and bottom using masking tape.

This is key for accurate joining — keep it straight and press gently with your hand to avoid shifting.

STEP 06

Carefully position the fabric in the hoop, supporting the opposite side with your hand to keep everything in place.

STEP 07

Pin all around the hoop, as close to the edge as possible.

Remove the two temporary pins added earlier.

Ensure everything is aligned and run the alignment stitching on the machine.

STEP 08

Remove from the machine and trim the fabric (follow the black line on the design reference).

Do not remove the pins yet.

STEP 09

Change the bobbin to the embroidery thread color.

STEP 10

Run the embroidery.

STEP 11

Remove from the machine.

Remove the pins and hoop

STEP 12

Trim the stabilizer on the right side, leaving about 0,78" of excess, and set aside for use in Stage 3.

STEP-BY-STEP - STAGE 03

STEP 01

Load PART 3 of the embroidery design into the machine.

Replace the bobbin with white thread.

STEP 02

Follow steps 02 to 08 from Stage 2.

Note: The trimming will be the same.

STEP 03

Run the embroidery.

After finishing, remove the pins and hoop.

STEP 04

Trim the stabilizer on the right side, leaving about 0,78", and set aside for use in Stage 4.

STEP-BY-STEP - STAGE 04

STEP 01

Load PART 4 of the embroidery design into the machine.

Replace the bobbin with white thread.

STEP 02

Prepare the hoop with tear-away stabilizer and run the alignment stitching.

STEP 03

Position the fabric over the hoop just as you did in steps 04, 05, and 06 of Stage 2.

STEP 04

On the right side of the markings, place the fabric aligned with the vertical seam, keeping it straight as shown.

STEP 05

Pin the fabric and secure it with masking tape.

STEP 06

Run the alignment stitching and trim the fabric.

STEP 07

Replace the bobbin with embroidery thread.

STEP 08

Run the final embroidery on the machine.

STEP 09

Remove from the machine, take out the pins and masking tape, and remove from the hoop.

STEP 10

Cut all the stabilizer alignment seams, but be careful not to cut too close to the satin stitch embroidery.

These cuts are necessary to prevent the embroidery from pulling when removing the stabilizer.

Remove all stabilizer and clean up the embroidery.
