Step by Step Napkin Ring

MATERIALS USED

1 - 5,11" x 7,08" hoop
2 - Tear-away stabilizer
3 - 1 piece of R1 batting measuring 7,87" x 3,14"
4 - 2 pieces of cotton fabric (tricoline) in your preferred color, each measuring 7,87" x 3,14"
5 - Embroidery threads
6 - Fine-tip scissors for trimming
7 - Masking tape
8 - Bobbin with thread matching the finishing color

STEP BY STEP

STEP 01

Prepare the hoop with the stabilizer

STEP 02

Load the napkin ring design you chose into the machine and stitch the first color, which will be the placement line

STEP 03

Place the R1 batting 7,87" X 3,14" and the fabric over the placement line, securing the edges with masking tape

STEP 04

Return to the machine and stitch the next color, which will secure the materials

STEP 05

Keep the hoop in the machine and stitch the next color, which will embroider the ring details

NOTE:
The heart design will have two color stops for the details
The flower and butterfly designs will have only one color for the details

STEP 06

After stitching the details, remove from the machine, take off the tape, and trim the excess fabric and batting

STEP 07

Cut out the inner part of the ring, as indicated

STEP 08

Place the second piece of fabric 7,87" X 3,14" on the back and secure it with masking tape at the edges

STEP 09

Return to the machine and stitch to secure the back piece

STEP 10

After securing, remove from the machine, take off the tape, trim the excess fabric, and cut out the inner part of the ring

STEP 11

Insert the bobbin with the finishing thread color

STEP 12

Return to the machine and stitch the final color, which will be the finishing stitch
