STEP BY STEP

STEP 01

- Prepare the hoop with the tear-away stabilizer.

STEP 02

- Load the Santa Claus design into the machine and stitch the BLACK color, which will be the placement line.

STEP 03

Follow the instruction for the design you are using:

Place the batting over the placement line.

SANTA CLAUS: R1 batting 5,51" x 4,33" and white felt (3,93" x 3,54" – Face and Beard), slightly above the batting at the bottom as shown in the photo, and secure with masking tape along the edges.

BELL: R1 batting 4,72" x 3,93" and green felt (3,93" x 3,93", placed slightly above the batting at the bottom as shown in the photo.

SNOWMAN: R1 batting 4,72" x 3,93" and white felt 3,93" X 3,93", placed flush with the batting at the bottom.

STEP 04

- Run the machine with the RED color to secure the fabric.

STEP 05

- Remove from the machine, take off the masking tape, and trim the excess felt.

STEP 06

Return to the machine and stitch the BLACK color for the next placement lines (for Santa Claus and the Bell).

Remove from the machine, take off the masking tape, and trim the excess felt.

At this step, the Snowman will only have one placement line (for the hat).

STEP 07

SANTA CLAUS: Red felt – 3,93" x 3,14" (Hat)

SNOWMAN: Black felt – 3,14"x 1,57" (Hat)

BELL: Red felt – 3,14" x 2,36" (Bow)

Remove from the machine, place the felt, and secure with masking tape.

STEP 08

Run the machine with the RED color to secure the felt.

After stitching, remove from the machine and trim the excess felt.

STEP 09

Follow the instruction for the design you are using:

SANTA CLAUS: White felt – 1,57" x 1,57" (Pom-pom)

BELL: Brown felt – 1,57" x 1,18" (Clapper)

SNOWMAN: Skip this step.

Place the felt over the placement line and secure with masking tape.

STEP 10

Follow the instruction for the design you are using:

SNOWMAN: Skip this step.

SANTA CLAUS: Run the GREEN color to secure the pom-pom felt. After stitching, remove from the machine and trim the excess felt.

BELL: Stitch the brown felt (clapper) in place.

STEP 11

Follow the instruction for the design you are using:

SANTA CLAUS: Stitch the next five colors for the face: Beige, Black, Red, White, and Red.

BELL: Stitch two colors: Burgundy and Gold.

SNOWMAN: Stitch three colors: Black, Orange, and Red.

STEP 12

Follow the instruction for the design you are using:

SANTA CLAUS: White felt – 4,33" x 4,33"

BELL: Green felt – 4,72" x 3,93"

SNOWMAN: White felt – 4,72" x 3,93"

After finishing the previous step, remove from the machine, place the felt on the back side, and secure with masking tape.

STEP 13

Return to the machine and stitch the GREEN color to secure the back felt and make an additional outline.

STEP 14

Remove from the machine and trim the excess felt on the back side.

STEP 15

On the back of the hoop, use small sharp scissors to carefully cut the felt between the two top lines and the two bottom lines, leaving the center stitch uncut.
Be careful not to cut the stabilizer. Cut slowly and carefully!

STEP 16

On the front side, repeat the same cut you made on the back — trimming the felt first and then the batting, being careful not to cut the stabilizer.

STEP 17

SANTA CLAUS: Change the bobbin and top thread to white. Stitch the WHITE color to finish the beard and napkin ring opening (that you cut in the previous step).

BELL: Change the bobbin and top thread to gold. Stitch the GOLD color to finish the napkin ring opening.

SNOWMAN: Change the bobbin and top thread to red. Stitch the RED color to finish the napkin ring opening.

STEP 18

Follow the instruction for the design you are using:

SANTA CLAUS: After finishing the white stitching, change both bobbin and top thread to red and stitch the RED color for the hat finishing.

BELL: After finishing the gold stitching, change to brown and stitch the BROWN color for the clapper finishing.

SNOWMAN: After finishing the red stitching, change to white and stitch the WHITE color for the body finishing.

STEP 19

Follow the instruction for the design you are using:

SANTA CLAUS: After finishing the red stitching, change both bobbin and top thread to white again and stitch the WHITE color for the pom-pom finishing. Remove from the machine, take it out of the hoop, tear away the stabilizer, and clean the embroidery.

BELL: After finishing the brown stitching, change both bobbin and top thread to green and stitch the GREEN color for the bell outline.

SNOWMAN: After finishing the white stitching, change both bobbin and top thread to black and stitch the BLACK color for the hat finishing. Remove from the machine, take it out of the hoop, tear away the stabilizer, and clean the embroidery.

STEP 20

After stitching the green outline, change both bobbin and top thread to red and stitch the RED color for the bow finishing. Remove from the machine, take it out of the hoop, tear away the stabilizer, and clean the embroidery.

And you’re done!

Your beautiful Christmas Napkin Ring is complete!
