Step by Step
STEP 01
Hoop the easy-tear stabilizer. Take it to the machine and run the first placement stitch.
This step is done for both (MAIN PROJECT AND OPTIONAL).
STEP 2 (OPTIONAL)
Attach the lace with small pieces of masking tape, starting from the first mark on the left side and finishing on the right side.
STEP 3 (OPTIONAL)
Go back to the machine and run the lace tackdown stitch.
THIS STITCH IS ONLY TO SECURE THE LACE.
(IF YOU ARE MAKING IT WITHOUT THE LACE, SKIP THIS STEP ON THE MACHINE, MOVE TO THE NEXT COLOR, AND CONTINUE TO THE NEXT STEP).
STEP 4
Remove the hoop from the machine, place the batting and the 6,29" x 6,29" fabric over the marked area, and secure it with masking tape.
This step is done for both (MAIN PROJECT AND OPTIONAL).
STEP 4 - OPTIONAL
STEP 5
Return the hoop to the machine and run the tackdown stitch for the batting and fabric.
This step is done for both (MAIN PROJECT AND OPTIONAL).
STEP 5 - OPTIONAL
STEP 6
Do not remove the hoop from the machine. The next colors will continue the embroidery.
This step is done for both (MAIN PROJECT AND OPTIONAL).
STEP 6 - OPTIONAL
STEP 7
Remove the hoop from the machine and place the 6,29" x 6,29" felt on the back side, securing it with masking tape.
This step is done for both (MAIN PROJECT AND OPTIONAL).
Note: for the larger size, use 8,26 x 8,26"; for the smaller size, 4,72" x 4,72"
STEP 7 - OPTIONAL
STEP 8
Return the hoop to the machine and run the tackdown stitch for the felt.
This step is done for both (MAIN PROJECT AND OPTIONAL).
STEP 8 - OPTIONAL
STEP 9 - FRONT
Remove the hoop from the machine and trim the excess felt from the back and fabric from the front.
This step is done for both (MAIN PROJECT AND OPTIONAL).
STEP 9 - BACK

Change the bobbin thread to the color you will use for the final outline.

Return the hoop to the machine and run the final outline stitch.

STEP 12
Tear off the stabilizer and clean up the embroidery.

STEP 13
Fold the piece in half and attach the snap button at the cross mark.
