Step by Step

Step 01

Prepare the hoop with the stabilizer.

Step 02

Load the Pig design into the machine, place the hoop in the machine, and stitch the placement line (first color of the design).

Step 03

On the upper horizontal part of the sackcloth fabric (the side without the hem), make pleats using pins until the final width is 3,93" as shown in the photo.

Step 04

Place the sackcloth fabric with the pleats ready aligned with the placement line in the hoop.

Step 05

Secure it with masking tape and remove the pins.

Place one or more pins at the bottom to hold the fabric in place.

Step 06

At the small upper marking (indicated by the arrow), place the satin ribbon, securing it with masking tape as shown in the photo.

Step 07

Take the hoop to the machine and stitch the next color, which will secure the pleated sackcloth fabric and the satin ribbon.

Step 08

Remove the hoop from the machine.

Remove the masking tape from the fabric and trim the excess.

Secure the sides of the fabric with masking tape.

Step 09

Remove the masking tape from the bottom of the satin ribbon, leaving only the tape on the top.

Step 10

Place the R2 batting first, then the 6,69" x 5,90" tricoline fabric over the marking.

Secure both with masking tape on the edges.

Step 11

Take it to the machine and stitch the next color, which will secure the fabrics.

After stitching, remove the masking tape and trim the excess fabric and batting.

Do not remove the pin or the masking tape that are holding the sackcloth fabric at the bottom of the hoop.

Step 12

Return the hoop to the machine and stitch the next color, which will create the frame quilting (matelassé).

Step 13

After finishing the quilting stitch, continue on the machine and embroider the next 14 colors of the design

Note:

Chicken: next 10 colors
Duckling: next 13 colors.

Step 14

When the embroidery is finished, remove the hoop from the machine.

On the back side, place the second piece of tricoline fabric and secure it with masking tape.

Step 15

Take it to the machine and stitch the next color, which will secure the back fabric.

After stitching, remove the masking tape and trim the excess fabric.

Step 16

Place in the machine the bobbin with the thread color chosen for the frame finishing.

Step 17

Take the hoop to the machine and stitch the final finishing stitch.

After the embroidery is finished, remove it from the machine, take it out of the hoop, and clean the embroidery.
