Place the tricoline fabric (support) over the appliqué marking and secure with masking tape.

STEP 06

Return to the machine and run the tack-down stitch and the center marking of the support.

STEP 07

Remove the masking tape and trim the excess fabric from the sides. Do not trim the TNT or batting.

STEP 08

In the inner marking, trim the fabric, TNT, and batting without cutting the hoop stabilizer.

STEP 09

Return to the machine and run the marking for the next appliqué (body).

STEP 10

Place the polka dot tricoline (body) over the marking and secure with masking tape.

STEP 11

Return to the machine and run the tack-down stitch and the wing marking.

STEP 12

Remove the masking tape and trim the excess fabric.

Step by Step - Part 02

STEP 01

Embroider the next 8 colors for the hen and rooster.

For the chick, embroider 4 colors.

Embroidering sequence for the HEN and ROOSTER:
Support/wing/ruffle details, black eyes, comb and wattle details, white eye details, wattle finishing, black eye details, beak, wing finishing.

Embroidering sequence for the CHICK (four colors):
Support details, little arms, beak, cheeks, black eyes, white eye detail.

STEP 02

Overlap the two ends of the satin ribbon (right side to wrong side) as shown in the photo below, forming a loop.

STEP 03

On the back side of the hoop, center the satin ribbon over the marking made in Step 04 of Step 01, following the horizontal and vertical stitch lines.

STEP 04

STEP 05

Secure with masking tape, keeping some distance from the head appliqué, as we do not want the finishing stitch to catch the satin ribbon in the final step.

STEP 06

Still on the back side of the hoop, place the tricoline (lining) over the first rectangular marking made in Step 01 and secure the edges with masking tape.

STEP 07

Return to the machine, run the lining tack-down stitch and the support opening marking. After securing, remove from the machine.

STEP 08

Trim the excess fabric from the sides. Be careful not to cut the satin ribbon. Do not remove the masking tape holding the satin ribbon.

STEP 09

Secure the satin ribbon a little away from the appliqué so it will not be caught in the finishing stitch that will be done in Step 03.

Step by Step - Part 03

STEP 01

Follow the next finishing sequences, always changing the bobbin thread to match the fill color of each appliqué.
